If you have an attorney in a criminal matter, it is YOUR responsibility to update him/her with any new phone numbers or change in address.

Once you switch phones we can't reach you. My office tries the numbers given, the address given, then wastes time searching the internet and social media to find you. As your attorney, I should NOT have to send you a message through Facebook!

If my office and the clerk of courts can't reach you to notify you of when to appear in court, you are going to miss your court date. Then a warrant will be issued for your arrest for failure to appear. You will be arrested and likely spend several weeks or months in jail waiting to get your case resolved.

Save yourself some jail time and hassle. Call your lawyer when you change phones.

FYI: If you change phones several times in a month, it makes you look like a drug dealer.
