When I started out as a “baby” lawyer, I always said that I just wanted to help people. There had been times in my life where I had received help from people in the legal world that I couldn’t afford but desperately needed and I am a firm believer that those acts need paid back into the universe however and whenever you are able.
Well, almost two decades later, I can say that I, through my office, have done just that. I have never turned a client away because they couldn’t afford to pay and I have always tried to remember that every client comes to me at their worst times as I’ve always practiced in both family law & criminal defense.
My office and approach can be unconventional but it is always authentic and based out of true care and empathy for each person, no matter the situation.
I have also always provided contract work for indigent defense on behalf of the public defender’s office, as I believe each of us in this type of work should.
A new chapter is just around the corner though. As of July 31, 2025, my office will close completely. I have accepted a position where I will work solely in indigent defense. While exciting for my life, it is difficult to take a very busy and successful practice and shut the doors. This work allowed me to raise my kids show them the benefits of hard work when self-employed. But- here we go.! On to the next path I have chosen where I can step back just a bit and enjoy the life I created.
Thank you to all of our clients over the years and those who referred your loved ones to us to help. It’s been a great ride!

Tricia
