Unlike litigation, your mediation meetings are private. It will be just between you, your ex-spouse, and your divorce mediation attorney in Orange County. Everything you discuss in mediation cannot be used against you in court if your case ends up in court.⁠

An annulment of marriage is a legal decree that a marriage is null and void. Annulments are granted when a court makes a finding that a marriage is invalid.

While a divorce ends a legally valid marriage, an annulment treats the marriage as if it never existed. The end result of an annulment is the same as a divorce – the parties are single and may remarry or enter into a domestic partnership with another person.

Additionally, as with divorce, the court presiding over an annulment proceeding may determine issues of child custody, child support, alimony, and division of assets.
