🚨 Important Reminder: Released from ICE Detention on Bond

Being released on bond is not the end of your case, it comes with responsibilities. Violating your bond conditions can lead to serious consequences, including being re-detained, losing your bond, and harming your immigration case.

To protect yourself:
✅ Attend ALL immigration court hearings and ICE check-ins
✅ Obey all laws
✅ Do not drive without a valid license
✅ Do not work without authorization
✅ Avoid contact with law enforcement
✅ Keep your attorney informed
✅ Do not travel outside the country
✅ Notify the court if you change your address
✅ Follow all judge-ordered conditions

Your bond money is at risk if you do not comply. If you are unsure about your bond conditions, contact your immigration attorney immediately.

🚨 Visa Processing Update 🚨

The U.S. Department of State has announced changes impacting immigrant visa processing for nationals of certain countries, effective as of January 21, 2026

While some visa issuances are currently paused, applicants may still be able to submit applications and attend interviews. However, case outcomes and timelines may be affected.

This is not a complete visa ban, but it’s an important development that could impact many individuals and families.

📩 If you or someone you know may be affected, contact our office to discuss your options.

✈️ Know Your Rights Wherever You Travel ✈️

As immigration enforcement continues to expand across the country, it’s important to stay informed especially in high-traffic areas like airports.

These major airports have been identified as locations where ICE presence and activity may occur:

• Chicago O’Hare (ORD)
• Cleveland Hopkins (CLE)
• Atlanta (ATL)
• Houston Hobby (HOU)
• JFK (NYC)
• LaGuardia (LGA)
• New Orleans (MSY)
• San Juan, PR (SJU)
• Newark (EWR)
• Philadelphia (PHL)
• Phoenix (PHX)
• Pittsburgh (PIT)
• Southwest Florida (RSW)

Airports are considered sensitive but active areas.
You have rights regardless of your immigration status.

If you are approached by immigration officials, you have the right to remain silent and request an attorney.

🚨If you receive a letter like this from DHS or ICE, do not ignore it.🚨

Notices like these are often requests to appear in person to discuss your case and missing an appointment could have serious consequences for your immigration status.

If you receive correspondence from the Department of Homeland Security, you should consult with your immigration attorney IMMEDIATELY to understand your rights and next steps.

Also remember it is your responsibility to keep your address updated with USCIS and Immigration Court. If you move and do not update your address, important notices like this can be sent to the wrong place and you may never receive them. Missing a notice because of an outdated address can result in missed appointments or even removal orders issued in your absence.

If you have questions about your case or need help updating your address, contact our office for guidance!

Grateful for the opportunity to attend the Buenos Días United event this morning! ☀️

It’s always inspiring to be in a room full of local leaders, entrepreneurs, and changemakers who are committed to strengthening our community and creating meaningful connections across the Coastal Bend.

Thank you to the United Chamber of Corpus Christi for creating these events 💼🌱

🎤 A Moment to Reflect 🎤

One of the most meaningful moments from our ribbon cutting was the opportunity to speak and reflect on what this milestone represents for our community.

Attorney Debra Rodriguez would have loved to deliver the speech herself. Unfortunately, she was battling laryngitis, so three members of our team proudly stepped in to carry her words forward.

It was an honor to give her a voice in the same way she gives a voice to her clients every day. A powerful reminder that this work is about advocacy, unity, and showing up for one another.

So grateful for this team, this community, and the mission we stand behind. 💙⚖️
