Let's be in prayer tonight for our area. The interstate shutdown has caused many delays and additional accidents. Far outweighing the inconvenience of delays are the losses of life. Likely a father and husband or more who will never make it home to family. Pray for those family and friends impacted by the loss and the injured. Be careful out there and give the semis on our back roads plenty of room to navigate unfamiliar areas.

The legal community lost a friend and a force this week. Pete headed up Lawyer's Mutual Insurance of Kentucky. That's the malpractice coverage for many lawyers. However, Pete's help went far past malpractice insurance. He advised on ethics issues, legal matters and more. He was there when we faced extortion attempts and there when there have been legitimate errors that occurred and clients needed fair compensation. Knowing there was not just an insurance company, but a friend to the legal community, brought peace in troubled times. He will be greatly missed.

Have you checked your homeowner's insurance lately? We often think about the coverage amount for our house, but what about liability coverage for injuries on your property?

We've successfully represented clients severely injured by dog bites, atv/side-by-side/go kart wrecks and even falls at homes. With medical bills at the highest levels in history, a minimum coverage policy isn't enough. You need a $250,000 liability policy at minimum.
