The Investor Rights Clinic (IRC) provides a resource to individuals who may have claims against their broker for investment losses, but whose claims are too small for them to be able to find legal representation. Under faculty supervision, second and third year law students undertake all aspects of the intake, evaluation and prosecution of small investor claims in securities arbitration proceeding

Teresa Verges, director of the Investor Rights Clinic, and Scott Eichhorn, associate director, served as featured speakers at the Public Investors Advocate Bar Association - PIABA Securities Law Seminar.

Ms. Verges moderated a panel of regulators and counsel on protecting seniors and vulnerable adults from financial exploitation, legal developments, and broker-dealer best practices. Mr. Eichhorn, a co-chair of the seminar planning committee, spoke on recent developments in case law in the area of securities arbitration.
