The Florida Legislature passed new condo laws addressing reserve accounts, increased board transparency, and . While these laws are a great first step toward much needed reform, questions remain regarding their implementation and seemingly conflicting provisions. It is standard for unexpected conflicts to arise after legislative changes. Our article reviews issues that unit owners and condo associations may face as they navigate these new laws.

Big news for and in this week. The County passed a substantial ordinance this week changing several once standard practices.

For example, it will now be unlawful for landlords to inquire/consider/require disclosure of previous eviction history when considering applications.
