🚨 Is your HOA overstepping?

Living in an HOA or condominium community does not mean giving up your rights as a homeowner.

Watch for these 5 red flags:

1️⃣ Your HOA ignores records requests or homeowner rights
2️⃣ Rules are enforced differently depending on the homeowner
3️⃣ You’re hit with questionable fines or fees
4️⃣ Your ability to use or enjoy your property is unfairly restricted
5️⃣ Important decisions are made without transparency

If something doesn’t feel right, don’t assume the HOA has the final say. Know your rights before you respond.

Can your HOA really ban a pink pool noodle because it doesn’t match the community’s “aesthetic”? 👀

HOAs and condo associations can enforce valid rules and restrictions, but those rules must come from the **governing documents**. Subjective standards that aren’t actually written into the documents may be another story.

If your association is trying to enforce a rule that you can’t find anywhere in your governing documents, it may be time to ask questions.
