Our Founding Partner, Jeffrey Bass, earned a Band 1 ranking in Chambers USA 2026 for Real Estate: Zoning and Land Use Litigation.

This recognition reflects Jeff's thirty-year commitment to the artful navigation of complex legal issues in the fields of land use, zoning, real property, and constitutional law.

The ranking also recognizes the work Bass Law performs on behalf of municipalities, universities, businesses, developers, and individuals involved in significant real estate and land use matters across the state.

We are grateful to our clients, colleagues, and peers for their continued trust and support. Their confidence in our work makes achievements such as this possible.

We congratulate Jeff on this well-deserved recognition and thank everyone who contributed their time and perspective throughout the Chambers research process.

The Daily Business Review recently featured our Partner Deana Falce in its article on attorney mothers and the myth of work-life balance.

Deana reflects on raising her twin boys while building a successful legal practice and navigating the demands that come with both. She underscores a central theme that balance is not about perfection. It comes from focusing on what matters most in each moment and being fully present for it.

Drawing on her experience as both an attorney and a mother, Deana shares this advice for new attorney mothers:

“Don’t stress the small things. You’re never going to feel like you’re doing great at both things at one time. One step at a time, and your best is enough.”

This Earth Day, Bass Law celebrates Duke University’s Nicholas School of the Environment and the Aspen Institute - Nicholas Institute Water Policy Forum. Duke University’s Nicholas School is home to some of the most vitally important scholarship on the planet — about the planet. In collaboration with the Aspen Institute, Duke’s Nicholas Institute for Energy, Environment & Sustainability is working to develop consensus around a national water policy strategy to align water policy at the local, regional, state, and federal levels to ensure a safe and affordable water supply for our nation and its future.

Founding Partner Jeffrey Bass recently visited the Duke Forest Aquatic Research Facility, where uniquely bred zebrafish are used to study the impact of temperature and chemical exposures on human health. There, Jeff witnessed a zebrafish on a “fish treadmill” where scientists can study the effect of chemical exposure on fish VO2, kidney function, memory, and heart function. The visit highlighted both the urgency of this work and the important role institutions like Duke University and the Aspen Institute play in researching and addressing today’s environmental challenges.

We congratulate our founder — Jeffrey Bass — for being named an Attorney of the Year Finalist in the 2026 Florida Legal Awards by the Daily Business Review.

The Florida Legal Awards recognize attorneys throughout the state who have made significant contributions to the legal profession and, at the same time, demonstrated leadership in complex matters that shape Florida’s legal and business landscapes. Selection as a finalist places Jeff in an elite and extremely small class of attorneys whose body of impactful work extends far beyond the litigants in any one matter. We congratulate all of the other finalists on this achievement. We are proud to see Jeff included among this year’s exceptional honorees and look forward to celebrating this well-deserved recognition.

We recently welcomed an advanced design studio from the Carnegie Mellon School of Architecture for a roundtable discussion over coffee at our offices. We explored the regulatory, market, and climate forces shaping coastal redevelopment across South Florida. The studio visited us while en route to a tour of the Florida Keys.

The studio — “Coastal Florida: Culture, Ecology, & Aesthetics” — investigates the friction points between culture, tourism, ecology, infrastructure, and capital. Our discussion focused on tropical housing typologies, the built environment, and the geographic, regulatory, environmental factors that influence transit and development in the Keys. Our conversations addressed climate risk within the roles of insurance, reinsurance, and mortgage lending.

We remain committed to the education and development of the next generation of thought leadership in the fields of law, climate, and design.

We are honored and humbled to be a part of the elite development team that won the approval from the City of Sunny Isles Beach City Commission for the stunning redevelopment of the Miami Beach Club site. This low-density architectural jewel is now poised to join the City’s iconic waterfront skyline.
