DHS announces TPS 18-month Extension for Venezuela valid until March 10, 2024. The extension will ONLY be available to those individuals who filed during their initial registration period which ends on Sept. 9, 2022. Case was filed in June of 2021. Went in to client’s naturalization interview today and walked out with an approval in less than 30 minutes. Better yet, client was able to get her ceremony notice right then and there. The case had a few hiccups but we prepared well. At we strive to bring our clients’ peace of mind and be time-efficient. Your immigration case doesn’t have to be a nightmare and we’ll work hard to make sure it’s that way.

The USCIS officer at today’s interview was very polite but strict. She was ready to fire her questions away and my clients were ready to answer. She also verified all documents and made sure every little detail was in order…and they were. My clients will tell you I am a bit of a drill sergeant mixed with fairy godmother when it comes to prepping for interviews. But when the officer said “you will get your card in the mail in 2 weeks” it all feels so worth it. Over-prepared lawyer = happy clients!

Father’s Day is coming up and we want to share this encounter between our clients. We kept going back and forth with USCIS and the US Consulate for approx 2 years. Son got his immigrant visa at the Consulate but then the pandemic hit. Authorities insisted he could not depart the country & his immigrant visa would soon expire. With Consulates around the world closed, extending or re-issuance seemed almost impossible. The window of opportunity was closing. After working tirelessly with the family, son was finally able to enter the US before the expiration of his immigrant visa and right on time to give his father a hug on Father’s Day. Moments like this remind us of the power of family reunification and why we love what we do. We understand the immigrant journey and we treat clients like our family.
