ATTORNEY, ESTATES AND TRUSTS
We are looking for an experienced attorney who has a passion for helping people. Chevallier Law helps families and entrepreneurs plan, preserve, protect and pass on their wealth through customized Estate Planning, Probate Administration and litigation, and guardianship proceedings. We’re looking for an attorney who can hit the ground running to give our clients outstanding representation. You need to have compassion and the ability to build relationships with your clients and know your way around a courtroom.
The Job
Demonstrate experience in taking ownership of a client's case – discovery, pleadings, motions; collaboration and mediation; pretrial hearings, motion hearings, and trials
Conduct client meetings and recommend strategies
Delegate work to paralegals and legal assistants and monitor their work
Estate Planning, Probate and Guardianship experience, or some combination thereof, is a must
The Essentials
You will contribute to developing the strategy of a case and will need to know where to find the rules of procedure to back up that case strategy.
You project confidence and competence when dealing with people on behalf of our clients.
Our ideal team member can take a probate or guardianship case from start to finish with no supervision. She or he is not intimidated by deadlines or workload and can manage those effectively.
If you see a case file as an opportunity to help someone move past the difficulties of losing a loved one, you’ll like the way we think.
Your opinion about how to make things better for the firm or our clients will always be welcome.
Skills and experience are important and valued, but your personality, character, intelligence, and integrity are also extremely important considerations.
High-maintenance, humorless, self-entitled, or self-important individuals will not succeed in our Firm and need not apply.
We are growing, and you will be called upon to wear many hats. We need someone who does not think that the occasional need to scan your own documents is “beneath you."
This is a small firm environment that offers flexibility in work/life balance, with the opportunity to work from home on occasion.
Salary
Salary is commensurate with skill and experience and is negotiable. Base pay range is $70,000-$90,000 annually.
