If you’re injured in a car accident, and you think the other driver was at fault (or at least more at fault than you), you should call the police. The responding officer will conduct an investigation and prepare a report that includes a detailed description of the scene; witness statements and contact information; and the officer’s assessment of what happened and who was at fault.
