We are welcoming Associate Attorney Taha Onal to the Pogust Goodhead Philadelphia team. Taha joins us with a wealth of legal knowledge and dedication to seeking justice for our clients.

Taha earned his JD from American University Washington College of Law, where he served as Articles Editor of the Health Law and Policy Brief and was a student attorney at the Janet R. Spragens Tax Clinic. He was a clerk for the Honorable Pennsylvania Superior Court Justice Carolyn Nichols in Philadelphia, where he examined complex civil and criminal cases.

Pogust Goodhead U.S. Partner Joshua Neuman moderated a day-long mass tort litigation seminar at the annual American Association for Justice conference last week in Nashville.
The seminar entitled "Navigating the Changing Landscape of Mass Torts," provided a comprehensive view of the critical aspects of litigating mass tort cases including as clergy abuse and ride share cases, as well as important topics like Diversity in mass torts.

A very warm welcome to Summer Associate Olivia Andrews.

Olivia is a rising 2L in the Class of 2026 at Drexel University Kline School of Law in Philadelphia . She received her B.A. in Sociology at Temple University.

Olivia has worked with our team in the past as an Intake Assistant, which furthered her interest in attending law school.

With a strong interest in the medical field, Olivia hopes to declare a Health Law Concentration and ultimately pursue a career in health law.

Spring is in the air and Partner James Barry dug-in with a pollinator field clean-up alongside family in his local community this weekend.

James is based in Pogust Goodhead’s Moorestown, New Jersey office, where he predominantly pursues complex litigation involving environmental contamination, as well as class actions involving data breaches, consumer fraud and employee wage theft, and mass torts.

He is very active in the New Jersey community and spends much of his time outside work volunteering and speaking at community events.

Throughout his career, James has taken on some of the largest companies in the world on behalf of consumers, homeowners, workers, and normal people cheated or injured by those companies.

Philadelphia Children’s Alliance serves thousands of children and their families each year who have been affected by sexual abuse, at no cost.

In addition to their core work of putting children on a path to healing and justice, they have also built programs for child victims of human trafficking, child witnesses to violence, caregiver support, court support, and more, all designed to serve each child’s needs.

They are the only facility of its kind in Philadelphia, and they work in collaboration with partners in law enforcement, social services, and medical and mental health services.

largest annual fundraiser, the Bear Affair, gets its name from their mission to provide every child who walks through their doors with a brand-new stuffed animal to provide a little comfort during a stressful time.

Join Daniel Harrison, Esq. on April 18 at the 2024   Boardwalk Seminar where he will be discussing the emerging litigation surrounding Ozempic (known generically as semaglutide) and similar GLP-1 RA drugs.

Although frequently referred to as “miracle drugs”, dozens of lawsuits claim that the manufacturers of Ozempic, Wegovy, and similar drugs prescribed for type 2 diabetes and weight loss failed to warn about the risk of severe injuries including:

-> Gastroparesis
-> Deep Vein Thrombosis 
-> Intraoperative Pulmonary Aspiration; and
-> Malnutrition and Vitamin Deficiency related Disorders, among others. 

Dan will be sharing the history of, and science behind, these drugs as well as the status of the current litigation, including the newly-created multi-district litigation in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
