A Prayer for Coach Lou Holtz
Heavenly Father,

We place into Your loving hands Your servant, Coach Lou.

You have known him from the first breath of his life,
guided his steps, strengthened his voice,
and used his life to shape hearts far beyond the field.

Grant him peace now, Lord.
Peace in body, peace in mind, peace in soul.
If it is Your will, ease his suffering
and surround him with the quiet assurance of Your presence.

Give strength and comfort to his family,
to all who love him,
and to those who walk beside him in these final days.Let them feel Your nearness
when words are not enough.

Mary, Our Blessed Mother,
wrap him in your mantle of tenderness.
Saint Joseph, patron of a happy death,
stand beside him with calm and courage.
And Christ Jesus, Good Shepherd,
lead him gently home when the time comes.

May he rest in hope,
held by faith,
and trust fully in Your promise
that love does not end,
it only changes form.
