To Past, Present & Future Clientele of the Law Firm and the community in general, please be advised that no issues or delays in legal services are occurring for the law firm, nor are issues anticipated. Recently, many community folks have asked me, my family, friends and staff with concerns regarding my part-time employment with local municipalities and with the Ashtabula County Prosecutor's Office.
However, my firm prides itself on timely and communicative services, as well as time management for handling past, current and future clients alike. Over the past several years since these employments began, nothing has changed for the law firm other than my ability to handle criminal defense matters, limited civil matters and matters involving children services. Otherwise, our office is handing all the matters listed on the website and this page. Most recently, the Conneaut community and county in general have lost several attorneys, inundating many law firms as attorneys are scarce locally. As such, it creates inundated schedules and conflicts routinely that many of us as practitioners cannot control.
Naturally, the above-referenced types of matters and matters with my outside employment may result in a conflict, though the same has been rare. Should a conflict arise it is identified quickly and communicated immediately to the client prior to representation with referrals to other attorneys upon request. If a conflict arises during representation that was unexpected, however, the same is also communicated quickly and my office will certainly discuss refunds of monies under the signed attorney-client fee agreements.
I hope this dispels any concerns associated with the status of my law practice. We remain ready and willing to assist with any legal matters for the community that we are able to assist. I sincerely appreciate and value greatly the community support over the years and look forward to continuing our service to the community.
Sincerely,
Christopher M. Newcomb, Esq.
