As Kim said: “AI cannot take the place of what’s a fundamentally human business. You call your lawyer because you want to look in their eye and say, ‘What should I do about this issue?’”

Vorys was featured on 60 Minutes, and our AI personas got their moment in the spotlight. 🎉

Kim Herlihy, a partner in our Columbus office and a member of the Litigation group, spoke with correspondent L. Jon Wertheim about the firm’s AI personas. Created in partnership with Stanford Law School’s liftlab, the tools allow attorneys and staff to get feedback and insights from AI versions of senior partners while drafting legal documents.

As Kim put it: “AI is never going to walk into the courtroom and give an opening statement to the jury, but it helps us have additional tools to use as we prepare that opening statement.”

🚴‍♂️ Team Vorys went the distance for cancer research at VeloSano’s Bike to Cure 2026!

Marcel Duhamel, Aaron Williams and Brad Hough represented Vorys, taking on routes ranging from 12 miles to the full 100 miles in support of cancer research at Cleveland Clinic.

Together, Team Vorys raised several thousand dollars to support VeloSano’s mission to accelerate lifesaving cancer research. Since VeloSano began in 2014, the movement has raised more than $95 million to support more than 280 cancer research projects.

Thank you to everyone who represented Vorys this year, whether riding or volunteering, and to everyone who donated and helped support this important cause.

Vorys Akron is entering an exciting new chapter as Partner Ashley Manfull prepares to become managing partner of the Akron office at the start of the new year.

A Vorys attorney for more than 20 years, Ashley will be the third managing partner in the office’s 23-year history. She will succeed Bret Treier, who will retire at the end of 2026 after a decade of leadership.

“I’m committed to building on that strong foundation and continuing to foster the collaborative culture that defines our firm,” Ashley said.

We are excited to see Ashley step into this role and look forward to all that is ahead for Vorys Akron.

Eleven Vorys attorneys have been recognized as part of the 2027 edition of Best Lawyers’ “Lawyer of the Year” list:
