Joseph's estate planning practice includes will preparation, estate administration, including probate, estate and inheritance taxation, sale of estate assets and contested proceedings. Joseph has significant experience with tax planning and lifetime planning,
including: creation of trusts; life insurance arrangements; charitable giving; change of domicile and prenuptial agreements; planning for incapacity; representation of individuals and corporate executors, trustees, and beneficiaries in fiduciary-related litigation; and creation of charitable organizations. Joseph provides clients the highest level of professional services through all phases of a real estate development or acquisition, or a refinance. He routinely works with buyers and sellers of property, realtors, lenders, and developers. In addition to a significant practice in traditional residential sales and refinances, Joseph handles a broad range of advanced commercial real estate transactions, including timber sales and purchases, condominium formation, zoning and rezoning applications. Joseph is a member of the State Bar of Georgia Section on Fiduciary Law. He is also a member of the Columbus Bar Association, Columbus Inn of Court and Columbus Estate Planning Council. After graduating from Vanderbilt University, Joseph attended Georgia State University, where he obtained his Juris Doctor, cm laude.
