A local scam is going around, where a person pretends to be an officer with the LCSO and says you missed court, now have a warrant for missing court, and can either turn yourself in for a possible 90 days in jail OR pay the fines now. Please be cautious about ANYONE calling and requesting money. But be especially leary of an officer attempting to collect alleged fines for a court. It does not happen that way! Stay cautious out there, and if you have ANY concerns, follow up with the clerks of the court for more information.
