TGH Partners Julianne Germinder and Joanna Trachtenberg recently attended the American Association for Justice Ultimate Trial Advocacy Course®: The Art of Persuasion in Atlanta, GA.
This rigorous five-day program covered advanced strategies in jury selection, voir dire, trial psychology, and courtroom communications. They attended lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on workshops led by seasoned trial lawyers, nationally recognized trial consultants, and communications experts. They look forward to using these strategies for their clients in the courtroom.

TGH’s Julianne Germinder, Joanna Trachtenberg, Deidre Wood, and Kim McGaughey secured a $1 million jury verdict in Cole County. Late last night, the jury found that their client, Carrie Andres, experienced disability discrimination and a hostile work environment while working at the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services - violations of the Missouri Human Rights Act.

The jury awarded $369,558 in economic and non-economic damages, plus $700,000 in punitive damages to send a clear message that this type of unconscionable conduct by employers will not be tolerated.

Trials take an immense amount of time and effort, and we’re so thankful for our amazing home team and all those offering additional support in Jefferson City including: Joel Poole, Rachel Patton, and Grant Hopkins.

Huge congratulations to Ms. Andres and to the TGH team on this outstanding result!

When you call TGH Litigation, you may hear a new voice - Erin Beaslin, who joined the TGH Team this fall! Erin brings over 30 years of legal experience, with a career spanning Salt Lake City, Kansas City, and most recently Columbia, where she worked in the Boone County Counselor’s Office.

She’ll be taking on an important office management role here at TGH. Outside of work, Erin enjoys reading, classic movies, traveling, and spending time with her family, friends, and pets.

TGH’s Julianne Germinder, Brooke Davids and Rachel Patton joined forces with Roger Brown in obtaining a successful jury verdict of $3 million in Cole County. Last week, the jury found their client, Joseph Eddy, endured age discrimination while he was employed at the Missouri Department of Corrections in violation of the Missouri Human Rights Act. In addition to awarding Mr. Eddy $1 million damages for economic and non-economic losses, the jury awarded him $2 million in punitive damages to discourage employers like DOC from engaging in this kind of conducted toward their employees. Huge congratulations to Mr. Eddy, and to the TGH team-Julianne, Brooke, and Rachel-along with Roger Brown for this notable verdict!
