Your annual reminder: Contributions of up to $6000 ($7,000 if you're age 50 or older) in total to your IRA and Roth IRA accounts made before April 15th can be applied to your 2020 return and are likely to be deductible.

The deduction may be limited if you or your spouse is covered by a retirement plan at work and your income exceeds certain levels. In addition to the general contribution limit that applies to both Roth and traditional IRAs, your Roth IRA contributions deductibility may be limited based on your filing status and income.

You should make those contributions if you are in a position to do so.
