At times, we make mistakes and need to own up to them. In our youth, those decisions are impulsive and can have potentially dire long-term consequences. We may decide things in a panic where rationale goes out the window. Also, we may want to live a certain lifestyle that ultimately is not productive and runs afoul of the law.
I am proud of my (longtime ๐ฌ) client who has made some of those impulsive mistakes. However, he has turned his life around. Having a child centers you and choosing to step into manhood results in positive consequences.
Today, along with the State of South Carolina, we closed that chapter and opened a new one with him being a free man while addressing other challenges for a short probationary period.*
I am grateful to his family for trusting me over the years BUT my hope is that no future representation involves the criminal justice system. I am betting on him as he bets on himself.
*All cases are different. So are the results.
I love what I do!
