Hello, My name is Jazmine Richardson. I am from Columbia SC, and I am a rising senior at Winthrop University pursuing a degree in Political Science with a double minor in Legal Studies and History with a concentration in Pre-Law.

I am a dedicated driven student with ambitions to
become a Civil Rights attorney. Outside of my academic pursuits, I am deeply engaged in community service, volunteering regularly to give back and make a positive impact.

I am also an avid traveler, having had the privilege of exploring diverse cultures through my family's
international trips. In addition, I have a strong appreciation for music, particularly vinyl records, and enjoy collecting them as a hobby.

in 1920, Columbia attorney Lincoln C. Jenkins, Jr. was born. He took over the duties as the South Carolina NAACP’s chief lawyer from Harold Boulware by 1956 and worked with Robert L. Carter on prominent cases including Sarah Mae Flemming's bus segregation challenge and the Elloree 21 teachers' lawsuit challenging the state's anti-NAACP policy. He and childhood friend Matthew Perry worked on NAACP cases, and the pair brought important First Amendment and civil rights cases to the U.S. Supreme Court from South Carolina.
