🚔 What would you do if police arrived at your door with an arrest warrant?

For many people in College Station, that moment can feel overwhelming. Understanding your rights before it happens can make a significant difference.

An arrest warrant is a court-issued order that allows law enforcement to take a person into custody based on probable cause. Whether the warrant involves a misdemeanor or felony allegation, remaining calm is critical. ⚖️

If officers arrive at your home, avoid resisting or arguing. You can politely ask to see the warrant and verify that the information is correct. Remember that you have the right to remain silent and the right to speak with an attorney before answering questions.

The Greening Law Group helps individuals in College Station navigate arrest warrants, DWI cases, drug charges, and other criminal defense matters. Their team works to review warrants, evaluate police procedures, protect constitutional rights, and develop a strategy tailored to each situation.

Many people are surprised to learn that an arrest warrant does not give law enforcement unlimited authority. Understanding the limits of police authority and your legal protections can help prevent unnecessary complications.

🚔 How does law enforcement test for drug impairment while driving?

There are generally two methods law enforcement may use when investigating suspected drug impairment.

The first involves a Drug Recognition Expert (DRE). A DRE officer receives specialized training designed to identify signs that may indicate the presence of certain substances. During an investigation, the officer evaluates various observations and indicators to form an opinion about possible impairment. However, these evaluations can be challenged, and the reliability of the methods used may become an important issue in a criminal case.

The second method is blood testing. 🩸

In these cases, a blood sample is collected and sent to a laboratory for analysis. The lab measures the concentration of substances in the blood, often reported in nanograms per milliliter. Those results may be used as part of an investigation into whether a driver was impaired.

If you are facing allegations involving drug impairment, understanding how evidence is gathered and evaluated is important. Every case is unique, and the details matter.

The Greening Law Group in College Station helps individuals navigate criminal cases and better understand the legal process. ⚖️

Can an arrest happen months after an incident in Texas? The answer may surprise many people. ⏳

In College Station, delayed charges can arise when investigators uncover new evidence, locate witnesses, analyze forensic results, or continue a complex investigation. Even when significant time has passed, legal timelines and case details still matter.

The Greening Law Group helps people understand how delayed criminal charges may affect their future. Whether a case involves DWI allegations, drug offenses, theft accusations, or other criminal matters, understanding your rights is essential. ⚖️

Texas statutes of limitations vary depending on the alleged offense. In some situations, charges may be filed long after an event occurred. Delays can also affect evidence, witness recollections, and other important aspects of a case. Reviewing those details carefully can make a meaningful difference.

If law enforcement contacts you about an incident from months ago, remember that you have important legal rights, including the right to remain silent and the right to speak with an attorney before answering questions. 📋

⏳ Wondering how long it takes to clear an eligible record through the expunction process?

For many people, the biggest question is not whether they qualify, but how long the process may take. The Greening Law Group serves people in College Station who want clear information about what comes next.

When our office handles an expunction, the process generally takes about 60 to 90 days. First, a petition is filed. Then notice must be provided to the agencies involved. Those agencies have 30 days to respond. After that period, the hearing can be scheduled and the court can move forward with the request.

Every case is different, but understanding the timeline can help reduce uncertainty and make planning easier. 📄⚖️

A past criminal record can affect opportunities, which is why many people want to learn whether expunction may be available in their situation. Knowing the steps involved is an important part of the process.
