Gabe joined NALC in 2023 as an SJCL student clerk, and we're excited to welcome him back in this new role. As the first attorney in his family, Gabe's journey reflects dedication, perseverance, and a deep commitment to serving others.

Gabe is passionate about immigration law because he believes everyone deserves access to quality legal representation and the opportunity to pursue their dreams.
He is honored to advocate for immigrants and their families as they navigate their immigration journeys.

When he's not advocating for clients, Gabe enjoys cooking, playing the guitar, and dancing. 🕺

✨ An Important Leadership Update from NALC ✨

After years of dedication and service, former NALC Director, Linda Barreto, has transitioned into a new role and is no longer at NALC. We are deeply grateful for her leadership, vision, and commitment to serving our clients and mentoring our students. Under her direction, the Clinic grew significantly and expanded its impact within our community and our law school. We thank her for the strong foundation she helped build and wish her continued success in her next chapter.

We’re also excited to welcome our Interim Director, Jessica Jaramillo Perez. Jessica has served as a Staff Attorney with NALC since 2022. She brings experience, dedication, and heart to this role. Her passion for advocacy and commitment to NALC’s mission and its clients make her a natural fit for this important role.

As an SJCL alum, she understands our institution and NALC’s mission in a truly personal way. We are confident she will continue to strengthen our clinic while guiding and inspiring our students.

Thalia has made a lasting impact during her time at NALC — pouring her heart into each case, advocating for our clients, and showing up every day with passion and purpose. Her dedication has left a mark not only on our team but on the many lives of clients she’s helped along the way.
