Some closings are just a little more special than others. ❤️

Today was bittersweet as I helped my sister and my favorite brother-in-law close one chapter and begin another.

While it’s hard to see them leave the home where so many memories were made, I couldn’t be more excited for what lies ahead. Next week they break ground on their beautiful new home in Browning Creek in Starkville, and I already know Christmas in that new home is going to be something special. 🎄🏡

This closing was a little different for me, too.

For the past week, I’ve been working from a hospital bed. Oxygen. Water. Chapstick. Doctors. Nurses. And one very determined REALTOR. 😊

The truth is, real estate is never a one-person job. It takes an all-star team, and I am incredibly grateful for mine. I love my village!

My brain is still sharp. The rest? We figure it out together. Simple.

There were a lot of moving parts to get this one across the finish line, but today at 3:00 p.m., everything came together exactly as it should.

After 22 years in this business, I’ve learned that real estate isn’t about houses. It’s about people, relationships, and showing up when it matters most.

And yes… apparently they were right when they said I could sell real estate in my sleep. This week, I came pretty close. 😂

Congratulations to two of my favorite people on this exciting new chapter. I can’t wait to watch your dream home come to life.

✨✨Quick health update because I’m going to be out longer than expected and didn’t want people wondering where I disappeared to…

I’ve been hospitalized at St. Dominic’s since Thursday after going to the ER Wednesday night with severe chest/rib pain and breathing issues. After lots of testing, they discovered double pneumonia, fluid around my lung, and some additional complications they are still working through.

The good news is I’m in very good hands, responding to treatment, and have an excellent medical team. Recovery is going to take a little time, but we finally have answers and a plan moving forward.

I may be quieter than normal for a bit because talking and breathing have honestly been exhausting, but I’m reading texts/messages when I can.

Thank you for the prayers, encouragement, and support already. It truly means more than you know. ❤️

And because life doesn’t stop… real estate closings are still happening, listings are still coming, and I’m incredibly thankful for my amazing Century 21 team helping cover the “boots on the ground” while I focus on getting healthy again.

Please continue praying for healing, strength, and full recovery. ❤️
