Cover graduated from the University of Kansas in 1976 with a B.S. in Business Administration and obtained a Master’s Degree in Business with emphasis in Personnel & Labor Relations in 1977. He graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law in 1980 with a Juris Doctorate Degree. Gary has been in private practice since 1980. During his tenure, he has rep
resented innumerable clients in personal injury litigation with an emphasis in automobile and truck crash litigation. Gary has obtained settlement and verdicts in personal injury litigation totaling millions of dollars. Gary is a strong advocate for his clients and is compassionate with his clients’ needs during the pendency of their lawsuits. In addition to personal injury litigation, Gary focuses his practice on Municipal Government law. During his career, Gary has served as City Attorney for several communities, including Clinton, Warsaw, Cole Camp, Deepwater, Montrose and Urich. Gary is past president of the Missouri Municipal Attorneys Association. Recently Gary was appointed Municipal Judge of the City of Clinton. Gary’s practice also has an emphasis in representing businesses in commercial litigation and bankruptcy. Gary’s clients include banks, real estate developments, hotels and privately owned water and wastewater systems. Gary has represented both businesses and individuals in seeking bankruptcy protection. Wesley D. Hilton - As a partner at Cover & Hilton Law, LLC, Wesley D. Hilton aggressively represents his clients in Clinton, Missouri, in the surrounding counties, and throughout the state of Missouri. Wes dedicates his law practice primarily to the areas of personal injury and medical malpractice, while also accepting cases in the areas of family law and criminal defense. He focuses 100 percent of his practice on litigation. Wes has a strong family law practice and he has considerable experience assisting clients in divorce, paternity establishment, child custody and visitation, adoptions, and juvenile law. Wes obtained his bachelor's degree from Missouri Southern State University, graduating with honors in criminal justice. Upon graduation, he attended law school at the University of Missouri - Kansas City School of Law where he earned his Juris Doctor. Wes is licensed to practice in the state of Missouri. Since completing law school, he has been admitted to litigate cases before the Circuit Courts of Missouri, the Missouri Courts of Appeals and the Supreme Court of Missouri. Wes is also licensed to practice law before the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri. Prior to forming Cover & Hilton Law, LLC, along with his partner, Wes was a partner at a firm in Kansas City, Missouri, where he litigated on behalf of a large number of clients in the areas of personal injury and medical malpractice throughout the Kansas City metropolitan area. In 2014 SuperLawyers Magazine selected Wes as a Rising Star to be listed in their 2014 edition.
