Always have a lawyer review your contracts! Wedding dress designer Hayley Paige now has a temporary restraining order issued against her which was sought by her parent company and she is prohibited from using the name "Hayley Paige" or her Instagram account until the case is heard.

Contracts are important! Especially when they involve intellectual property! It's very difficult to "just sign it and deal with it later." Most of the time, you're stuck in whatever bad deal you signed, and it takes a court to settle the dispute (read: its detrimental to your brand and is VERY expensive).

In a tearful announcement, the designer told fans she is being sued by her old parent company, which alleges it owns everything she built.

Our music community in Cleveland has been hit hard by the COVID shutdown. With numbers increasing again, it is clear that musicians and venues are going to continue to be financially hurt until sometime next year.

We see the need to develop a live stream series in order to help bands have both an online audience and a small in-house audience with a 64 person capacity, instead of 500 due to new safety protocols. To do this right, we aim to acquire the proper equipment and develop a team to perfect live stream sound and video. The equipment can then be used by local musicians long into the future for promotion and to gain future listeners on their own website.

We, along with other small venues in Cleveland like Grog Shop, The Happy Dog and BOP STOP at The Music Settlement and with the support of non-profit Cleveland Rocks: Past, Present and Future, have been building a network to help keep the local music scene viable while navigating through COVID's necessary shutdown and extremely reduced capacity. To this end, we propose to do 5 well-publicized shows with some of the best local original bands during the month of December that will be live-streamed and recorded.

We need to raise $7637 to make this project happen. Up to $3000 will be matched through ioby Neighborhood Connections COVID-19 Recovery Fund! We kindly ask if you are willing and able, to please donate any amount you're comfortable with to help us achieve our goal!

As most of you have heard, there is a pandemic happening so all of the shows and concerts were cancelled this year. So the Executive Staff have created a 99% virtual event chock full of audio and video goodies for our loyal listeners this year. Here's the deal...pay attention...

- The festivities begin at 12pm (EST) on www.wcsb.org with spooky tunes and frightening programming all day.

Got out to see Jul Big Green and Apostle Jones last night at Grog Shop! Although it wasn't like the usual packed house we're used to, its still great to see live music back again. Support your local artists and venues, especially now! They offer live streams for their Thursday night show lineups, so you can still tune in from home. 🤘🎶🎫
