Eligible Syrian nationals can apply to renew their TPS status through September 2022 and more importantly, Syrian Nationals who entered the US after August 1, 2016, who are eligible for TPS can now submit initial applications.

The Trump Administration can move forward with a rule to make it harder for immigrants who rely on public assistance to gain legal status in the US. This "public charge" rule impacts people who rely on forms of public assistance such as Medicaid, food stamps and housing vouchers.

The Supreme Court voted Monday 5-4 to allow the Trump administration's "public charge" rule to take effect after the immigration policy had been blocked by lower courts.
