We were very fortunate to have a handful of mentors that helped us early on in our business. Learning from other peoples mistakes before they happen to you is crucial. You can find good mentors by providing value for someone that is already active in the industry. We started by finding deals for our mentors and bringing them business, now we are able to consistently joint venture deals with them. This creates a win/win for all and a great way to build relationships with people that are much further along than you.
