Dear Community,
My name is Ruthie Jane, and I attend a private Christian high school in Virginia. Rebble Johnson is my Uncle. For as long as I can remember, I have come to Tennessee to visit with family, and I’ve always looked forward to visiting with my Uncle Rebble.
The General Sessions Judge is an important job. One that requires time and effort, and I know my Uncle is willing to do that. In one of his recent debates my Uncle was asked to describe his judicial philosophy. His answer was, “Now, as far as a personal judicial philosophy, I am going to be a judge who is quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to anger. That is my person and who I am going to be on the bench.”
A good judge is quick to listen, an important attribute of a judge. You have to be patient, and willing to listen to the whole story. A good judge will be slow to speak, concentrating on every argument, making sure that every person gets a fair trial. A good judge stays calm, imperturbable, and slow to anger, in every circumstance. My Uncle will do all of these things as a judge.
Uncle Rebble has lived in Tennessee for 50 years, and has constantly served his community with all of his heart. He loves Cleveland. It's his home. He has worked on many criminal cases, giving him a lot of experience. He loves the Lord, and seeks to honor Him with his time, talents, and treasure. He is willing to work hard for his community, and to strive to give his fellow citizens a safe place to raise their families. My Uncle is trustworthy and honest with what he says. I can promise you that you will never regret voting for Rebble Johnson as General Sessions Judge in Bradley County.
Before you go to the poll, I encourage you to consider the kind of candidate you want for General Sessions Judge. Will he be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to anger? Is he going to have the right temperament? Think on this before you vote.
In the coming days, it would be an honor, not only for me, but for my loving uncle, if you vote for Rebble Johnson as General Sessions Judge.
Thank you for reading this letter, and have a wonderful day.
Sincerely,
Ruthie Jane Gathje
