I am also a member of the Paralegal Division of the State Bar of Texas, Texas Bar College, Family Law Section of the State Bar of Texas, and the Texas Academy of Family Law Specialists. I currently work for attorneys across Texas assisting with all aspects of family law cases. I am finding attorneys are moving to a new trend of using contract paralegals for most substantive work. The benefits incl

ude not paying full paralegal pay during any slow times, no payroll taxes or workers compensation insurance, and no benefits i.e. You only pay for work completed. I am confident in my abilities to communicate with clients, draft pleadings including inventory and appraisements, orders, and preparing and responding to discovery with electronic Bates stamps included. I use Westlaw Formbuilder, Wordperfect, MS Word, and Adobe Pro DC for drafting documents. The one positive thing I believe the COVID pandemic has shown our legal community is that you do not have to be in the office to conduct business. This month I have been in Tarrant, Kerr, and Dallas counties attending hearings with my attorneys. Today I appeared at a mediation in Upshur County that settled.
