As an international adoption parent myself, I urge you all to take 3-5 minutes and please participate in this campaign.
TLDR: China canceled it's international adoption program after about 300 families in the US alone waited 4+ years to bring their kiddos home. There's a chance China will allow those that were in process go through, but to make that happen, they need you to email your state reps. Please and thank you!

In early September, China announced the closure of its international adoption program, leaving 300 U.S. families in a heartbreaking state of uncertainty.
These families are holding out hope after learning that China recently decided to allow families from Europe to complete their adoptions. Now, they’re praying for the same opportunity to bring their children home.
There is a way we can help make this happen.
Senators Chuck Grassley (R-IA) and Ben Cardin (D-MD) are leading a bipartisan, bicameral letter to President Biden, urging his personal intervention to secure a path for China’s remaining 300 matched children to be united with their adoptive families in the U.S.
This letter, which opened for signatures from both Representatives and Senators on Friday, has a deadline of this Thursday, October 31, at noon. Families and advocates are working tirelessly to gather as many signers as possible, underscoring the importance Congress places on reuniting these children with their waiting families.
Many believe this may be the last major opportunity to bring their dearly loved, long-awaited children home through congressional action.

Hello, I’m a constituent and I am [calling/writing] to ask Senator/Representative ________ to sign onto the bipartisan, bicameral letter being led by Senators Grassley and Cardin, asking President Biden to work with China’s President Xi to make a pathway for pending China adoptions to be completed so that nearly 300 children who have been waiting years in institutions can be united with their promised adoptive families in the U.S.
Pending China adoptions were stalled for years by the pandemic and then placed in a state of uncertainty by China’s recent decision to end its international adoption program going forward. Many of the waiting children have significant medical conditions and urgently need to join their families, so support and treatment can be provided.
