Open Houses .....DO THEY SELL HOMES?

People always ask:
Do open houses really sell houses?

Here’s the truth:
Less than 2–3% of homes actually sell directly from an open house.

So why do we still do them?

• They create exposure — neighbors, passersby, and curious buyers walk through, and sometimes they know someone looking.
• They help sellers feel their home is being marketed.
• They’re a great way for agents to connect with future clients — but not always the fastest way to sell your house.

What really sells homes?
Professional photos, online exposure, accurate pricing, and agent networking.

So yes, an open house can help, but it’s usually just one piece of the bigger marketing puzzle.
