Clients and friends from Dinsmore’s Indianapolis office enjoyed a thrilling day of networking and fun with attorneys and business professionals at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Throughout the day, guests were able to experience all the action at the track from one of the Legends Row Suites overlooking Gasoline Alley. They were also invited on exclusive garage tours for a behind‑the‑scenes look at the cars and teams as they prepare for qualifying races and the Indy 500.

Dinsmore was happy to support partner Benjamin Carnahan (Cleveland) and the Thea Bowman Center at its recent fundraiser for youth summer programs.

The organization was invited to throw the first pitch at a Cleveland Guardians baseball game and welcomed guests and supporters to help raise money to support their services. The center offers education, food support and health/wellness to the Mt. Pleasant neighborhood in Cleveland.

Ben serves on the Board of Directors for the center.

Attorneys from across Dinsmore’s national footprint recently met in Lexington for the Firm’s annual Women’s Initiative Symposium.

The morning started with a series of breakout sessions discussing a variety of topics including getting involved in leadership, unique pathways to partnership and creative and effective ways to network and meet with clients and maintain relationships.

To cap off the day, everyone enjoyed a perfect sunny day of networking with each other and watching horse races at the historic Keeneland race track.

The Cincinnati Bar Association has awarded commercial litigator Rick Porotsky with its Volunteer Lawyer of the Year Award.

Each year, the award is given to an attorney who has provided exemplary pro bono legal services clients through the CBA’s Volunteer Lawyers Project. Rick has a successful track record in helping clients pro bono who face legal challenges that they otherwise could not afford to defend. He is passionate about working with people and organizations in the community including Dan Beard Council and as Chair of the Colerain Chamber of Commerce, where he leads initiatives that benefit the community.

Congratulations also to former Dinsmore Managing Partner George Vincent who was awarded CBA’s John W. Warrington Community Service Award, which recognizes extraordinary volunteer service to the community that receives widespread recognition and encourages others to getting involved.

Dinsmore’s Director of Special Projects and Strategic Initiatives, Susan Zaunbrecher, was honored to serve as co-chair of this year’s Greater Cincinnati YWCA Career Women of Achievement Luncheon. Susan commented that it was truly an honor to be a part of this special day. “It was one of those days where you look around and feel the power of community in the celebration of incredible women.”

Each year, the event celebrates the diverse contributions of women in the workforce and in the community. It has evolved into the YWCA’s largest fundraising event, with all proceeds directly benefit YWCA programs.
