After passing the California State Bar Exam on his first attempt, Sergio C. citizen, who has been waiting on an APPROVED green card application for 19 years was kept from his American Dream of being an attorney strictly due to his current lack of status. of Justice opposes his licensing claiming that giving him a license would be a benefit in violation of a 1996 law intended to prevent immigrants

from becoming a burden to the state. Garcia, however, has NEVER be a burden to the state, in fact he would be an asset as expressed by California Attorney General Kamala Harris who supports Mr. Garcia's bid for licensing. Garcia has patiently waited to make his American dream a reality. On September 4th The California Supreme Court will decide his fate. Therefore, we respectfully petition the Obama Administration and the U.S Department of Justice to no longer stand in the way of Mr. Garcia's American Dream!
