🚧 Chico’s Summer Tune-Up Is Underway

Several road rehabilitation and infrastructure projects are moving forward across Chico this summer, including work on:

📍 East 20th Street
📍 North Cedar Street
📍 Fair Street
📍 South Park Drive
📍 Ceanothus Avenue

Drivers may encounter lane changes, closures, detours, or additional travel time near active construction areas. Please follow posted signage, plan ahead, and continue supporting businesses located along affected routes.

There is also good news for downtown visitors. Through September 30, the Park and Go program offers up to two hours of free parking in City-managed downtown parking lots. Drivers must still start a parking session at a kiosk or through the parking app. Downtown street parking is not included.

These projects reflect continued investment in Chico’s roads, sidewalks, public spaces, and transportation network. A little extra planning this summer can help keep our community moving and connected.

In Q2, NAR made legal progress to reduce uncertainty for members and brokers. This work includes reaching a proposed settlement that, if approved, would provide protection from potential liability, along with clearer legal rules for doing business and stronger protection of the REALTOR® marks.
