There are a lot of ads floating around for "wildfire attorneys." Some of these ads state that "time is limited," lending a sense of urgency to this disaster that is most likely NOT grounded in truth. One thing I've learned since this catastrophe started is that people almost always have plenty of time to figure out their next steps, legally speaking. Please please please everyone, take care of yourselves and understand that the first step to deal with this disaster to is get informed.

For those interested in the role of PG&E... food for thought.
From the article: "Recently completed Cal Fire investigations have determined that 17 Northern California wildfires in 2017 were started by issues with PG&E power infrastructure."

California’s top utility regulator Michael Picker, president of Public Utilities Commission, says the state must do more to prevent wildfires and ensure PG&E remains financially stable. PG&E’s stock prices have plummeted.

The devastation that the Camp Fire has created is so vast... it affects every person in the Butte County area, directly or indirectly. People have contacted us for legal guidance, and so we say this: Butte County community members, stay strong and clear headed as we navigate the next days, weeks, months, and years of recovering from this fire.
