WHAT HAVE WE WON?
In 2023, Illinois law gave Chicago’s principals and assistant principals the right to collectively bargain. In 2024, CPAA became their officially recognized bargaining representative. Today, we are continuing negotiations toward our first comprehensive collective bargaining agreement.

At Jordan Community School, staff are stepping up as attendance mentors... working directly with families who need extra support to help students get to school more consistently. Leaders know better attendance starts with understanding the barriers families are facing... and building the support to address them. Because more time in school. More time to learn.

Yesterday at Leland Elementary, we were reminded of what’s possible when strong school leaders, educators, families, students, and community partners come together.
Leland’s progress is inspiring, but the real success is the community being built around students.
Culture is built.
Trust is built.
Partnerships are built.
