I’m still waiting to receive results from our appeals to the Board of Review for Lyons - hoping the Board will correct all the errors and increases.

The ABC7 I-Team team has been looking into extraordinary increases in property tax assessments in southern Cook County, leaving home owners panicked that they won't be able to afford to stay in their houses.

I attended the Lyons Township Assessor meeting tonight about the crazy increases in assessed value. The township Assessor, Pat Hynes, is amazing and dillgent and trying to help taxpayers fight the increases. Contact me with questions or the Assessor- Deadline to file is February 6!!

The second installment of property taxes are typically due Aug. 1 but their delay has affected both taxpayers and local schools, parks and governments.

Anyone with property in the Northern suburbs of Cook County will be reassessed for 2022 pay 2023 real estate taxes. Whether you are a home or business owner, please pay attention to your re-assessment notices. There is still time to appeal, and I am happy to assist with both residential and commercial appeals.

North suburban landlords are getting more unwelcome news from Fritz Kaegi as he begins reassessing Cook County all over again this year.
