YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO REMAIN SILENT!

Every individual has the Constitutional Right to not answer any questions of the police or any law enforcement official.

If you decide to answer questions and talk to the police, be aware that every word you say will be put in a police report. It is not a crime to remain silent. Giving misinformation to the police can be obstruction of justice.

Just say "I wish to remain silent and I want my lawyer" and then shut up.

SEARCH WARRANTS

In order for the police to obtain a search warrant for your home, garage, car, business, or storage locker, an affidavit or sworn complaint must be written and submitted to a Judge. The issuance of the warrant will occur only if the Judge finds probable cause exists to believe an illegal item can be found in the designated place.

Confidential informant statements are the main reason why search warrants are approved and issued.
