Recently, Seiden Law Group, P.C. ("SLG"), received a favorable ruling on our Rule 29 & 33 Post-Trial Motions in the United States District Court for the District of Columbia.

SLG argued that the Wartime Suspension of Limitations Act ("WSLA") did not apply to False Statements on a Loan Application and Money Laundering. As a result, SLG argued that the Government's indictment was untimely, as to those counts, and barred by the statute of limitations. The Court agreed and held that Section 1 of the WSLA did not apply to either the False Statements or Money Laundering.

Additionally, the Court has set supplementary briefing as to whether the Defendant received ineffective assistance of counsel, during trial, and whether subsections (2) and (3) of the WSLA might apply to the aforementioned counts.
