Our client Urban Autism Solutions, having already appeared on Jon Stewart's "Night of Too Many Stars" last week . . . led by example on Monday . . . persuading the State of Illinois to fundamentally change its Community Integrated Living Arrangement funding methodology in a way that will aid the formation and success of CILA Centers for autistic adults across Illinois.
In celebration of this success, and of its programs, such as the Growing Solutions Farm, Not Enough Cooks In The Kitchen, Laundry Land, and WashDog, I had lunch with the Cooks on Monday, then today I brought our two dogs Sophie and Steffi to 1212 W. Flournoy for their first WashDog appointment. As you can see . . . they were thrilled;)
I intend to bring the dogs to 1212 W. Flournoy, and drop my laundry off for Laundry Land service, many times in the future. Dogs can be left to hang around the Center all day. I would recommend it to all who read this post.
Congratulations to Urban Autism Solutions; all the hard work and thoughtful energy has paid off for the benefit of us all.
