This is a potential gamechanger case. Essentially, it would make partisan gerrymandering unconstitutional. The key new factor in this case is the development of an "efficiency gap" measure, which is intended to be an objective determination of how gerrymandered a district is, giving the Court a potential standard to adopt as well as a method for enforcement.
