Last week, over two-thirds of Irwin IP participated in the 28th Annual , a 5k run that helps advance the mission of the Chicago Volunteer Legal Services Foundation and ensure equal access to the law.

We’re proud to have been a part of this event that empowers the community through legal aid.

Volunteers from the Chicago chapter of the Coalition, led by Lisa Holubar, organized a career development day for the women of Maryville Center's Mother's Recovery Home Network on Friday, June 16th. This program allows women facing substance user disorder and their families receive treatment, mental health services, parenting classes, and job-readiness training while residing at the center. The event included resume reviews, mock interviews, and donated professional clothing. The Coalition collected an abundance of clothing donations, allowing them to contribute extra items to Women In Need Growing Stronger (W.I.N.G.S.), a non-profit resale store that funds a safe house and counseling services for families escaping domestic violence.

On Thursday, Irwin IP gave back to the community by spending their morning volunteering at the Greater Chicago Food Depository. As a group, Irwin IP packed a total of 8,467 meals by putting together 10,160 pounds/254 boxes of food, averaging at 1.2 pounds per meal and 339 meals per volunteer! We then spent the afternoon by heading back to the office for our Firmsgiving which included a catered thanksgiving meal, a yankee gift swap and more! We have so much to be thankful for this year and wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving!

Irwin IP celebrated Halloween with a costume party, catered lunch, and pumpkin carving contest! Congratulations to our costume contest winners, Nick Wheeler as Tommy Shelby from Peaky Blinders, and Daniel Zhang as T-Rex. The winning pumpkins displayed Hot Lips by The Rolling Stones and the Irwin IP logo. Hope your Halloween was also filled with fun and sweet treats!

Irwin IP is pleased to announce its October “Featured Artist Shout Out.” As intellectual property attorneys, Irwin IP routinely represents artists who are creating unique works of art. In an effort to raise awareness of such artists, we want to share some of the work that we truly love.



Indiana University graduate Brad Meese stuns Chicagoland with his captivating and reflective landscape photography. After getting his Bachelor of Arts, Meese completed a yearlong specialty program in Vancouver B.C. at Focal Pointe Visual Arts Learning Center where he curated his talent. In addition to creating thought provoking photography, Brad Meese takes the stage as an Alternative/Country Folk musical performer. Now residing in Chicagoland, you can find him in the upcoming Spring/Summer showing his pieces at Midwest art fairs. Irwin IP would like to send a big congratulations to our COO as she welcomed her first born into the world on October 8th. Dominic Vincent Jr made his appearance weighing a healthy 8 pounds and 5 ounces and 21 inches long. We are so happy for you Heather and we cannot wait to meet the newest member of our team!
