I was honored to be invited to a showing of this season’s opening opera at the Met, Dead Man Walking and related conversations around why present day incarceration and punishment do not deter crime. Addressing underlying causes of crime and focusing on rehabilitation is the path forward. This continuining work is so important to me and is relevant to any criminal defense lawyer (white collar or otherwise) who brings more to their work than work. The opera was powerful and I hope everyone sees it.
