Good afternoon Facebook friends, in the last couple of months I have settled cases for $1,560,000, $950,000, $550,000, $450,000, and $310,000 for deserving injury victims. None of these cases had settlement offers anywhere close to the ultimate result prior to filing a lawsuit.

I recently settled a case for a client that fell due a convenience store’s negligence for $575,000. She required two rotator cuff surgeries and pain injections to her cervical spine. While the money doesn’t fix her shoulder or relieve her pain, I’m proud to bring a good recovery to a good person who didn’t deserve to be in this situation in the first place.

In the last two weeks, I have settled two cases for $100,000 each. One case involved a man attacked by a dog who suffered scarring and injuries to his back. I took this case over from another attorney who received no type of settlement offer after a year and a half. I filed a lawsuit right away and successfully litigated the case. The other $100,000 was as a result of a car accident. My client suffered a shoulder injury. State Farm’s settlement offer was $16,000 until I took the case to arbitration, where I received an award way over the policy limits, at which point State Farm offered the full $100,000.

I obtained a full policy uninsured motorist/hit and run settlement for a neighbor of mine who was struck by a car while bicycling. My poor neighbor unfortunately fell on his face immediately after he was hit and the car sped off, leaving him without any contact info or insurance. Every auto insurance policy in Illinois contains uninsured motorist coverage that can cover you when biking or as a pedestrian when involved in a collision with a car. It’s important to know, or hire someone who knows, what you are paying for every month to get the most out of your insurance coverage.
