Matthew Katz, Esq. - Partner
Matthew grew up in Evanston, Illinois, attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and graduated in 1997 with a degree in the Teaching of Social Studies. He taught high school for 7 years, while simultaneously obtaining a law degree from DePaul University until 2003–completing a 4 year program in 3 years cm laude. Matthew then opened his own law firm in the community in which he taught, where he and his team of sixty staff across six offices in Chicagoland and Mexico City successfully handled thousands of cases in the areas of family law, criminal law and immigration.
Matthew is fluent in Spanish, holds an MBA from the University of Chicago as well as several other degrees from prestigious academic institutions, and is highly experienced in the handling of complex divorce cases ranging from parentage, to custody, orders of protection, and other cases. He brings a diversity of experience in legal as well as other professional and scholarly fields to the advantage of every client he represents.
