A lawyer is also called: "counsellor" or "advisor." This is because they give clients advice to information and optimal conduct. A lawyer is also called a "representation" or "attorney-in-fact," which refer a lawyer's status of being the client's authorized emissary, in their court case or legal matter. The lawyer represents, negotiates, and advocates for the client's interests in the best possible way, to be successful.

A very good lawyer, both "advises" their client and "represents" them, in order to make the best decisions possible and then carry them out on their behalf, whether in court or in another transaction.

An attorney is a service person, one who is unique perhaps amongst all in providing an intellectual service without necessarily having coverage from insurance (unlike medicine).

Perhaps the reason for this is - thankfully - most people do not need a lawyer in their lifetime, other than for routine things such as a will/estate, maybe at worst, a traffic case or a divorce. On the other hand, most likely - hopefully not - just about everyone will have to encounter at least a couple moderately serious medical issues in a lifetime, besides many routine ones.

But, the unexpected can happen, and regular individuals get embroiled in civil (monetary) litigation. Many of the clients we help here at KHK Law are not necessarily sophisticated legal clients, as much as certain major corporate or business entities who regularly deal in commerce and have more frequent reason to be involved in disputes.

Sophisticated or not, though, people do know what they are going through quite well. When they one day have to hire an attorney, it helps to have an attorney who adapts their litigation strategy and their arguments to a person's own position as personally expressed. An attorney who relates legal procedures and strategies very well in a way that makes sense to people, because the reality of the situation itself as viewed from the client's eyes, almost inevitably gives rise to the most effective legal strategy that gets taken on their behalf in court by the attorney. After all, a lawyer is only a "representative" - on YOUR behalf.

KHK Law will help you through unanticipated struggles, and prove the validity of your position, the one you already know to be true, it just has to be given a voice.

Contact or refer KHK Law today if you or someone you know requires representation in a civil lawsuit whether suing or being sued, family or divorce case, or business and commercial transactional issues.

Getting hit with a lawsuit? Like getting hit by a train. It could be quite a gut-wrenching experience to open the door to a sheriff, get handed a summons and find out you’ve been named as a defendant in a court case.

Likely, you knew about the situation already. But did you realize they would sue you? How are you going to stand up for yourself and prove that your side was correct all along, and defeat the allegations?

A powerful attorney is someone who not only can stand up for you in court, but who relates to your side of the story.

KHK LAW are experienced civil litigators on behalf of individuals and small businesses. We fight in court to demonstrate why our clients side is true.

We treat our clients as people like ourselves; if we were going through the same situation, we ask what we would want and what we would do.

You are naturally worried about the expense. Litigation is expensive but not impossible to afford. Cases usually cost amounts proportionate to what is at stake in the first place. It's more important to have someone competent and reasonable who has your best interests, than let yourself get taken advantage of.

If you are being sued, or know someone who has, don’t hesitate to contact KHK Law!

“Laws” control and regulate society and human interaction so that our economy and individual liberties are protected. Therefore, at best laws are “neutral,” in that ideally they serve only as a framework to enable us to live free and happy lives by securing rights and obligations to each other as citizens. Some people think laws serve to their advantage or that there is something to be gained or profited through law. Really, only lawyers serve to “gain” by practicing law as a profession to help others enforce their rights in cases where it is beneficial or necessary. But inherently, law is not a profitable tool in and of itself, rather only a mechanism to protect and enable profitable and benefivial activity in the society as a whole, without which there would be chaos.

It’s good if you have a genuine legal need or issue to have someone there to help you stand up to the fullest extent of your legal right to benefit and protection. That’s what a lawyer is here for. Lawyers don’t create value inherently, but we can enable it and protect it for you to have a safe and happy and healthy and productive life by doing what you love and preventing others from screwing it up!
