L&H Partner, Elizabeth Lance, was recently appointed to the Wyoming Women’s Council by Governor Mark Gordon. Elizabeth has actively lobbied in the Wyoming legislature on issues impacting women in Wyoming in addition to being involved in numerous community organizations that provide support and/or resources to women in Wyoming. As the Founding Partner of Lance & Hall, LLP, Elizabeth has proven to be a successful female entrepreneur and attorney that has served Wyoming, both publicly and privately, for over 20 years. We are so proud to have Elizabeth as the Managing Partner of Lance & Hall!

L&H Partner, Jenny Montgomery, just won a property and child support case in the Wyoming Supreme Court. Jenny had successfully argued at trial that her client's financial contributions throughout the 4-year pending divorce should equate to child support. Additionally, Jenny successfully argued that her client's share of the marital estate should not be impacted by the debt on the marital residence that was awarded to his former spouse. The Wyoming Supreme Court agreed with Jenny's analysis of the relevant law and application, affirming the decision of the district court in L&H's client's favor. Great job, Jenny! Congratulations to this L&H client!

Celebrating Women's History Month:

Beth Lance is the founding partner of Lance & Hall LLP . Prior to opening her own practice, she worked in both the private and public sectors. Beth presently works as a contract attorney for the Guardian ad Litem office, the City of Cheyenne Board of Public Utilities, the Wyoming Public Employees Association and as a lobbyist for WTLA. Beth’s private practice focuses primarily on juvenile law, family law, criminal defense, and appeals. Beth and her husband, Ryan, have two boys, Andrew and Henry. As a family they enjoy attending Wyoming Cowboys sporting events and recreating outside together. My favorite part of being a GAL is advocating for kids in court and helping them understand the court system and how it works to help keep them safe and happy.

L&H Partner, Jenny Montgomery, was once again selected as one of Wyoming’s “Top 40 Under 40” by The National Trial Lawyers. Jenny has an established track record in the courtroom, primarily representing clients in domestic relations actions. Jenny has previously served as the Chair of the Family Law Section of the Wyoming State Bar, serves on the Child Support Review Committee for the Wyoming Child Support Program, and previously served on Governor Mead’s Advisory Council for Juvenile Justice. Jenny has been an instructor in several continued legal education trainings regarding the representation of children in domestic relations cases including the first ever Guardian Ad Litem Training Course offered in Wyoming. Congratulations, Jenny!
