There’s just something about fresh-picked strawberries that tastes like summer in Virginia 🍓☀️

I came across an article featuring some of Virginia’s hidden gems for strawberry picking and I was excited to see two local farms make the list! Today, thousands of sailors are finally returning home to their families after an extraordinary deployment aboard the USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN-78), USS Bainbridge (DDG-96), and USS Mahan (DDG-72).

326 days away from home.
326 days of sacrifice, service, long nights, missed holidays, missed birthdays and standing watch around the world.

As a member of a community so deeply connected to the military, today feels especially meaningful here in Hampton Roads. Welcome home to every sailor returning this morning — and thank you not only to those who served aboard these ships, but also to the families and loved ones who served right alongside them from back home. ❤️🇺🇸

There’s truly no place like home… and today, so many finally get to return to theirs.
