A new federal program—the Invest America Act—creates tax-advantaged investment accounts for children under 18, designed to help families build long-term financial security.

✨ Key Highlights:

Children born 2025–2028 will automatically receive a $1,000 government seed contribution.

Families, relatives, employers, and others can contribute up to $5,000 per year.

Funds grow tax-deferred and can be used at age 18 for education, a first home, starting a business, or other major life steps.

Even modest annual contributions can grow substantially over time thanks to compounding.

This program has the potential to give children — in all types of families — a meaningful financial head start.
